1 System Requirements

Operating system

- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or
- Microsoft Windows XP Home or Professional or
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or
- Microsoft Windows NT 4 (Service Pack 6, COMCTL32.DLL at least 
  version 5.0) or
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows ME) or
- Microsoft Windows 98 SE or
- Microsoft Windows 98


Working memory

- 64 MB RAM (min. 128 MB recommended) for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE,
  Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows NT
- 128 MB RAM for Windows XP 


For all installations 

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.


Other

Administration  rights  are  required  for  initial  installation of
AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic Windows.


Note

If you encounter problems displaying the user interface in the  main
window  of  AntiVir PersonalEdition  Classic Windows for Windows NT,
you should load the Microsoft update file CC32inst.exe, which can be
found on the internet at:

IMPORTANT

In order  to install/uninstall  a system  service pack  or a  rollup
package (e.g.  SP2 for  Windows XP)  you have  to uninstall  AntiVir
PersonalEdition  Classic   Windows  previously   and  reinstall   it
afterwards.

AntiVir  PersonalEdition  Classic  Windows  supports  the  Microsoft
Filter Manager, so far as it is available on the system. 

System requirements for Microsoft Filter Manager support:

- Windows Server 2000 Service Pack 4 with Rollup Package 1 or
- Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 or
- Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or
- Windows Vista


The new Windows File System Filter Manager Architecture improves the
cooperation with on-access scanners as overall system reliability.
